“If governments do a lot less, individuals can do a lot more.”
This statement says it all.
If we want good jobs and a strong economy (who doesn’t?), then reduce all levels of government to less than 20% of the total workforce and eliminate all legislation that protects government monopolies. This will enable and encourage our entrepreneurially minded citizens to fill the gaps left behind with competitive, innovative, free-market choices, which, by comparison, will make our current centrally-planned, monopoly delivered, inflexible and expensive government offerings appear as undesirable as they actually are.
Gene Balfour, Thornhill By-election - Ontario Libertarian Party candidate
